New Grant Opportunity: Nourishing Neighbors Nutrition Security Grant
Join us and make your voice heard!
Dear Nourishing Neighbors Family,
We are excited to announce the RFP for our September 2025 campaign, focusing on enhancing and expanding access to federal meals program. We invite your organization to apply for funding consideration to support the impactful work you do in the communities we serve.
Campaign Overview:
Throughout September, our stores will be raising funds to support and connect individuals to federal meals programs such as SNAP. These funds will directly support initiatives that enhance access to these essential resources.
Grant Allocation Guidelines:
Grant allocations will be determined by your state’s SNAP participation rate.
- For states with under 81% participation in SNAP:
- The majority of the funds will be utilized to facilitate the enrollment of individuals into SNAP federal meal program. This can include, but not limited to:
- Supporting SNAP enrollment salaries at health clinics, food pantries etc.
- Supporting SNAP outreach programs
- Setting up booths at established job fairs, food distribution sites, etc. to assist with eligibility and screening.
- Removing barriers to SNAP enrollment, such as providing transportation support.
- For states with over 80% participation in SNAP:
Consideration can be given to other program enhancement initiatives, such as produce incentives, double bucks program etc.
To determine the participation percentage in your state, please visit the following website: https://www.fns.usda.gov/usamap
