Q: Please describe your students’ project!

A: These superheroes collected peanut butter and jelly for those in need at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand.  After helping coordinate and collect peanut butter and jelly, these “little menches” rolled up their sleeves to restock the shelves at Brother Bill’s Helping Hands. What an inspiring example of compassion, teamwork, and service—proving that even the smallest heroes can make a mighty difference for those in need. 


Q: What did your students learn throughout the Explore.Act.Tell. Program?

A: Our Middle School Student Council and 5th graders recently wrapped up their mitzvah project with big hearts and even bigger creativity. In advisory, they learned about food insecurity in America, then transformed that learning into action—by becoming superheroes! Students proudly chose names like Defender of Sweetness, Pickled Protector, Sir Sizzle Salt, Captain Full Plates, Mrs. Snack and Smile, Professor Pantry, Master of Stock Shelves, and Captain Taco, the Food Legend.

Q: Please describe your students’ project!

A: The BMS Student Council (STUCO) supported the local food pantry by organizing a canned goods collection. Students and staff donated nonperishable food items, which were gathered and delivered to help families in need within the community. This project encouraged teamwork, leadership, and community service among students.


Q: What did your students learn throughout the Explore.Act.Tell. Program?

A: Throughout the Explore.Act.Tell.Program, students learned the importance of community involvement and how small actions can make a big impact. They developed leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while planning and carrying out a service project. Students also learned to recognize community needs and take responsibility for helping others in meaningful ways.
