Northeast Washington Hunger Coalition
NEWHC is working to strengthen emergency food supply chain by purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers and distributing their nutrient dense produce to 17 food pantries in rural Northeast Washington. We also encourage local gardeners to donate excess produce that we move into food desserts within Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties. In 2023, we launch a new program, Grow Your Own Row, where we provide vegetable starts and gardening instruction so food pantry clients can learn to grow their own nutrient dense fresh food.
NEWHC uses a micro scale delivery system designed with our rural communities in mind, our small CoolPup trailers are refrigerated, keeping produce at peak condition between pickup and delivery.
Address:
NEWHC
347 W 2nd Ave., Suite G
Colville WA 99114
Website: newhungercoalition.org
